Sunday 13th Sept. 8 PM

Hi everyone!  Thomas said that I needed to get out of the room and take care of this.  At the present Micah is getting a bath by the night shift nurse and I am quite sure that he would be sooo totally embarrassed if he had any clue what was going on!  We have all had  a good day and are closing in on the final of the first 72 hours which is the most critical time.  He has slept most of the day as he has had to work harder today.  As Thomas stated earlier they were doing some testing with his breathing, it is called a C cap.  The Respetory Specialist has been turning his oxygen on and off in 2 hr. cycles since 10:30 this morning and he has done great!  This is in prep. to see how he will respond to getting tubes taken out.  Yesterday when the Ox. was on he would not breathe on his own while sleeping much unless disturbed, because his body knew it didn't have to and so would get lazy.  Today though he has been doing it all whether awake or asleep, praise God!  His temp. due to swelling has started to come down a little and the Neurologists were very encouraged by all that they saw today.   We have been blessed with great nurses and docs of all kinds while here.  We all have a great deal of peace today.
God has been so good to us and has given us people all along the route from the very onset.  He has held us in His loving arms and protected us and we are very grateful.   Thursday evening I was in such distress and crying telling God this is too much to bear and He has been faithful to hold me up and help me to stand.  During the time when I needed help to stand physically there were so many loved ones present that literally every direction I turned there was a hand to hold, an arm to hug me and so many to pray for me and my child and for that I am thankful.  The ride up here was hard, but God spoke to me and gave me peace that only He can give.  I am now able to listen to the doctors without feeling faint because I know that they are only people and not God.  God is the Great Physician and the one who knit Micah together in the womb and He can put back together anything that satan tries to take apart.  My mind is still boggled by all of the who, what , when, where and why's of the situation, but I am not in turmoil.  I will never be able to answer all the questions (that's why none of you call me God) but this I do know...God was not surprised by this & He is going to use this in Micah life to draw people to Him.  I can't wait to see what God will do with this.    He knew beforehand all that would happen and all that is yet to come.  He knows how to stretch His children just enough to cause them to grow and not break them.  Thursday morning I read in Ps. 73  "Whom have I in heaven but You...."  He is the only one we can trust and with God in our lives we are more than conquerors.  What satan meant for evil.....
I love you all and appreciate you more than words can say.  Until tomorrow, blessings of the Father be upon you all.

  7. I have been and will continue to pray for Micah and the family. God is the GREAT PHYSICIAN, and He will heal in accordance to HIS will. You are both so admirably strong in the Lord. I can't, nor do I ever want to, imagine what you are going through. It must be terrifying. Just hold on to Psalm 56:3, "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee". God loves His children and wants only the best for us. I'm praying. Love you guys. Lottie Long (JEA)

  9. I'd like to say that God is already using this to draw people to him. The strength that God has given Tina and Thomas is so apparent. I would like to think I could be so faithful and strong. When I am weak....he is strong. You encourage us all and remind us where our strength comes from. He took away the turmoil. wow. I set out to speak words of comfort to you but you have encouraged me. Peace be with you.

  10. Hi Tina,
As you know you all are in my prayers. You already know that God is control. Ever sense I heard I have been pray and say what satan has been for evil that God will use for good. You know this is already happening. The whole town of Jackson are praying all in one accord. How often does that happen around here? Oh course not onlyare the people of this area praying but around the world. As I said God is using Micah and you guys in a great way. As you have told me in the past, this is so you can help others.

God bless you Tina and you know I love you!!!!

  11. Hay, Tina I don't know much about how to post this stuff. I just know that I wanted you to know that even when I went through a ruff time you were there. By the way the 5:12 post was me. Here is the verse that at first I didn't understand when people said it to me but now I do. Romans 8:28 "And we all know that in all things God works for the GOOD, of those who love Him,......."

Hang in there girl, I love ya

  12. Tina,
When I was lying in bed praying once again for you all last night, I kept thinking of the last Bill Johnson podcast I listened to, 'Spoil'. I am hearing you and feel soooo excited about what God is going to do through all of this. I can very quickly put myself in your place and begin to well up with tears, then I can just as quickly have the mind of Christ and get super fired up!! God is sooooo God all the time and who better to choose for a mighty miracle than a super strong, on fire, Holy Ghost family like the Varaguhese(sorry, I always mess that up:) ). You guys are so strong, God is so strong and evident through you, what a blessing you all are and always have been for us. We will keep praying and so are others in Thailand along with us. I love you!!! sandy

  13. Thomas and Tina:

We love you all so very much and have not ceased to pray. In my prayer time, Saturday, the Holy Spirit just kept bringing to mind those in the Bible that Christ raised from the dead. They had been without oxygen for hours and even days, yet there was no brain damage. My prayer all day Saturday and Sunday was that Micah would rise up off that bed completely whole. I continue to pray that. Mekenzie wanted me to let you know that he has been very concerned about Micah and praying for him. I believe that God is going to use this miracle to spark a flame in even our youngest children. We love you both so very much and will do anything you need.

    Hi guys,

We heard about Micah and continue to pray for him and your family. I wanted to share something with you, though you might have already been doing this. This morning as I was praying I felt the Lord wanted you guys to sing hymns and praise songs to and over Micah as a declaration of His control over the circumstances. Praising Him in the midst of the situation. I was reminded of Acts 16 where Paul and Silas were chained in prison and at the darkest hour(midnight), and through their pain, they began to pray and sing songs to God. God used that to comfort Paul and Silas and bring glory to His name through the witness and testimony that went forth from that.
Know that prayers are going forth all over the world for your family and for Micah.
    Be blessed,
    The Knotts

  19. Hello Thomas and Tina,
We have been in continual prayer for Micah and the entire family since Thursday. We have been out of town at my parents 50th anniversary celebration and just returned home last night. As we celebrated the 50 years with them we also celebrate the expectancy of a miracle for Micah. His steps are ordered by God as many were ordered on Thursday. God never ceases to amaze us with his unfolding plan. We are peacefully awaiting Micah's continual progress as we depend on God every step of the way! We love you and your family very much and are so thankful to be part of such a great family that touches so many lives for the positive! Our prayers and support are with you!
