Hi friends, I was asked if we could start signing our names to the posts because there are many of you that have never met us. Instead of figuring out how to edit the old ones...I think that Thomas always signs his name and I have never once signed mine : ) I want to thank all of you for the posts today. I have not been down, but there are sooo many hurting people around me, one little boy died this morning, and I have to stop and ask God who are we that we should be spared this agony. Why should some of the parents have to go home without their child while others go home with joy. God why can you not save all of these children. Please don't think I'm a total nut job right now, I'm just trying to share some of the emotions that I've have been going through. Anyway, the scriptures & songs sent have spoken directly to those emotions today. God is using each of you to strengthen us and hold up our arms when they are so tired & weary. Thank you so much for blessing us and taking the time from your days to pray for us and our little guy.
My song for today was "My Faith Has Found A Resting Place".
I love you all & hope to meet each of you some day and be able to introduce Micah to you.
Blessings from the Father,
Tina

"Thou art the Lord who slept upon the pillow,
ReplyDeleteThou art the Lord who soothed the furious sea,
What matter beating wind and tossing billow
If only we are in the boat with thee?
Hold us in quiet through the age long minute,
While Thou art silent, and the wind is shrill:
Can the boat sink while Thou, dear Lord, art in it?
Can the heart faint that waiteth on thy will?"
This is a quote by Amy Carmichael. You are in my prayers.
You don't know me, but my name is David Stover. My wife and daughter and I attend Christ Community Church in Jackson. Our thoughts and prayers have been going up for you and little Micah since I heard about his accident. I know a little of what Micah is going through. About two years ago, because of an illness I went into respatory failure and no one knows how long I was without oxygen before I was found. I was placed on a ventilator and the doctors gave my family little hope of recovery. Over the next few weeks, other systems and organs began failing. It seemed every day the news from the doctors was worse. At first, they told my family that if I did survive the night I would need to be placed in a long term care facility because the brain damage was too extensive for me to gain any cognitive function. But my wife and family just kept praying for me. One evening, the doctors told my wife that they had done all they could do but I was dying and they could not stop it. They told her that I would not survive the night and to start making funeral preparations. But to their amazement, the next morning, I woke up from my coma and all my organs and systems began functioning again. The illness that I began with was also gone. I am living proof that God still performs miracles today. I don't pretend to know what God has in store for Micah but having read your blog, YOU have heard his voice about this and God always has the final word. I can tell you that while unconcious during that time, I experienced God's presence and peace in a way I had never known. I know it was hard for my family and all they could see was apparent suffering, but that was the farthest thing from what I felt. I was in God's arms and His perfect peace. I hope my story is an encouragement to your heart. I pray for you all and for Micah constantly.
ReplyDeleteIn Christ,
David Stover

I know that someone already posted the corus to the Casting Crowns song, "I Will Praise You In This Storm" but the entire song is so fitting for your journey...
ReplyDeleteI was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The maker of Heaven and Earth

Dear Thomas and Tina, Here in New Delhi we are regularly remembering Micah in our prayers.Eva was reminding me of Psalms 46:1-5. to share with you. we know that you folks are standing strong in the Lord and your faith in these trying times being anchored in our Lord Jesus are such a great inspiration to us and am sure for all who know you and for everyone who reads this blog. ReplyDeleteWe are still going at it strong, prayer that is!!! God is soooo amazing and I can't wait to see this miracle!!! I love you and wish I could give you a big hug and all your family. The children have really been praying. Yesterday Lake said, 'Mommy, Micah is the one that shared his pretzels with me!' Thanks for always keeping us up to date with things.
